Course Aim

This course is designed for people who have responsibilities for the management of asbestos in buildings. 

This can include occupations such as: 
  • health and safety professionals
  • building maintenance managers
  • private landlords
  • asset managers 
  • project managers

Course Objectives

The course guides you through the various aspects of managing asbestos at your premises and helps inform you of what your company needs to be doing. The course will also offer simple, but effective ways of achieving compliance with asbestos regulations.

Course Syllabus

Duty to Manage Training covers the following:

  • identification of asbestos surveys
  • asbestos management plan and asbestos policies
  • creation of an asbestos register
  • priority risk assessments
  • management of asbestos containing materials
  • types of asbestos work
  • emergency procedures
  • information, instruction and training refreshing the register
  • updating the asbestos management plan

5-15 delegates with a maximum of 20

Assessment

Candidates will be assessed upon completion of a written multi choice test, where 12 out of 15 must be achieved to pass
