Asbestos Surveys
All buildings constructed before 2000 should be inspected to identify the location of any materials containing asbestos.
If you want to do any building or maintenance work in premises, or on plant or equipment that might contain asbestos, you need to identify where it is and its type and condition; assess the risks, and manage and control these risks.
Management Survey

- Reasonable access non-destructive inspections
Refurbishment / Demolition Survey
- Area to be refurbished/demolished
- Full access destructive inspections
Management surveys are used to create a register of all asbestos within the premises and refurbishment/demolition surveys are used to facilitate works.
At Soteria Asbestos we can help you decide which type of survey is most suitable for your circumstances and conduct it in-line with HSG 264 Asbestos: The Survey Guide. All samples collected are analysed at a UKAS accredited laboratory.
Bulk Samples
Even if you have an asbestos survey in place, there may be instances where you come across suspect materials that are not on the asbestos register.
Soteria Asbestos can visit your site to take samples of potential asbestos materials and have the samples tested.
